Oakura morning
It was well worth leaving home at 5am to reach our destination at Oakura with beautiful morning light. It was completely still and serene.

Boatsheds at Pauatahanui inlet
Was so excited when I spotted these gorgeous boatsheds. Although you are no longer allowed to live there, they once housed poet Sam Hunt. was an inspiring location.

One of the gorgeous harbours on Great barrier Island, the rock formation is very distinctive, with pohutukawa roots exposed.

One of my favourite beaches, especially for swimming...beautiful clear water and great surf. Kawau is on the horizon.

My sister and I left Auckland at 5am and were rewarded a few hours later with the stunning scenery at Oakura.

Hopes shelter
I keep finding myself painting this gorgeous little boatshed...I think this'll be the last one though. Has more of the inside of the shed in this one. This piece won a merit award at the Rodney Art Awards 2012.

Estuary summer
Between Takaka and Totaranui this crib lies on it's own little piece of land between the estuary and the bush. Loved all the bits added onto the dwelling.
