Headland Pohutukawa - Anchor Bay

About an hours drive from home is the amazing Tawharanui regional park and the stunning Anchor Bay. The first thing you notice when you get there is the cacophony of birdsong. Surrounded by a predator-free fence for many years the native birdlife is flourishing. 

The coastline is just stunning. There is often good surf which is usually crystal clear. The headland in between Tawharanui and Anchor Bay has gorgeous views both north and south. This painting is looking south over Anchor Bay.
